Goodies galore at charity markets

GRAB goodies and gifts galore as well as supporting a good cause at monthly fundraising Sunday Markets.
The Samantha Jones Trust (TSJT) successfully launched their venture last year in Uppermill and after an overwhelming response, they will be continuing throughout 2018.

The Samantha Jones Trust monthly fundraising markets

The leukaemia charity receives regular requests for help from children and their families from across the north west for treats, wishes and equipment to make life with leukaemia easier.
These regular fundraising markets, which are held at Uppermill Civic Hall, help raise vital funds to help TSJT to fulfil these requests and support local children with leukaemia.
The organising committee said: “TSJT have received positive feedback from stall holders and the public who have loyally supported the market so far.
“For its continued success, TSJT needs the support of local people to come and enjoy the markets and help to raise funds.
“2018 has got off to a flying start, with the January Market raising almost £1,000 despite the snow!
“TSJT Markets continue to evolve and feature new stalls each month, with January seeing a new pudding and cheese stall and February will see a new bedding and curtain stall, to name a few.
“There are also regular cosmetics and body products, clothes, accessories, crafts, toy and book stalls along with more food produce and homeware, making this market one of a kind for the area.”
TSJT raises funds on the day by running a café as well as a fabulous themed cake stall and tombola.
Dates for 2018 are: Sunday February 25, Sunday March 25, Sunday April 22, Sunday May 27, Sunday June 24. The markets run from 10am to 3pm, with free entry and free parking.
In addition, TSJT will host awareness days at Mossley Co-op on 22 February and Shaw Asda on 22 March.
