Bay watch! Noah lands big break in new ITV drama

A SHAW actor is set to make it big on the small screen after landing a leading role in a new ITV drama.

Noah Valentine

Noah Valentine, 16, will play Dylan in The Bay, a new six-part detective series focusing on a missing children’s case after teenage twins go missing from home in Morecambe, Lancashire.

The Rochdale Sixth Form College student will be seen on our screens when the programme begins later this month.

He was at a launch screening of the show – which was filmed in Morecambe and Manchester – at Salford’s Lowry Theatre on Tuesday, March 12 before the show is aired on Wednesday, March 20 at 9pm.

And it is the latest in a growing line of roles the teenager has had on TV.

After being spotted at an Oldham drama workshop three years ago, Noah has appeared in Coronation Street as the character Ben and CCBC’s Creeped Out.

He will also appear alongside several familiar faces, including Morven Christie, who plays lead character Det Sgt Lisa Armstrong, Robin Hood’s Jonas Armstrong, Lindsey Coulson, more known as Eastenders’ Carol Jackson and Chanel Cresswell, who appeared in the film This Is England as Kelly Jenkins.

Noah said: “It’s been brilliant working with such incredible actors on set and a lot of fun.

“It’s quite an intense drama so I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of it all, plus working with the cast has meant I’ve learnt loads too. I can’t wait to see it all on screen.”

Jess Bell, Head of Talent at Scream Management, who signed Noah up after spotting him in Oldham, said: “We were immediately impressed by Noah’s talent and couldn’t wait to work with him.

“Noah’s a real rising star in the industry which viewers will be able to see on screen. Definitely one to watch out for in the future!”

And if you or your child fancy a crack at stardom, the agency has now opened its books for 2019 and welcomes audition applications for their Kids and Young Performers divisions for people aged six-19-years-old.
